Currently there are two ways you can work with me, if you are a local mama in your birthing season. Either through my Whole Birth Continuum support package (outlined below) or through my bodywork offerings for pregnancy and postpartum. I offer in home one-off bodywork sessions and am looking at creating a regular clinic day where mamas can visit me. Sessions are 90minutes and cost $180

Whole Birth Continuum

This is my main package for birth and postpartum support. My speciality is walking with women and the emerging family through the entire spectrum of the childbirth process for couples choosing to home birth or free birth. From the moment you contact me in pregnancy, I will be supporting and caring for you through your birth preparation, the birth itself, your initiation into motherhood and of course the postpartum recovery. 

My support has great depth. It's a weaving of traditional birth skills, bodywork, herbal allies, ritual and ceremony.  This is what I consider to be holistic care and necessary for mothers traversing this initiation. 

Whole Birth Continuum Inclusions:

• Free initial meet up so we can learn more about eachother and determine if we are a suitable match

• 6 sessions across pregnancy that covers support during pregnancy and Birth mentoring, Pregnancy bodywork, as well as postpartum preparation and planning. Some of these will be 1:1, some will include your partner

• Mother Blessing Ceremony

• On call and Birth attendance 

• Postpartum care (8 visits across roughly 6 weeks) including Closing Ceremony

Empowered Birth Preparation

  • Six 1:1 sessions of mentoring, using the Birthing from Within framework. This is a unique approach that focuses on inner work and healing. I will guide you to holistically explore your fears, and look into any underlying issues that may impact your birth choices or flow in labour. We use fun, creative and engaging processes of enquiry such Birth Art and Role Play.

  • Birth preparation with me is extensive and individualised. Whilst I have an array of skills and wisdom in this area, it is you the mother that leads, through your own relationship to birth, yourself, your body and your baby. This is an important part of preparing to be autonomous in your birthing experience, as well as connected to the incredible birthing wisdom that lives within you. The father or partner is centred as the primary support person and supporting their emotional and physical preparation is an important part of my role.

    I chose the path of birth mentor over childbirth educator because I believe that facilitating the inner work of pregnancy is the real birth and postpartum prep.

    I believe that women already carry the knowing of how to birth. They don't necessarily need to learn or be taught. Working in the context of homebirth and unassisted birth takes out the work of education on navigating the hospital environment and policy. It is so much more about connection to self, trust and relationship.

    Parallel to the above is supporting your initiation into motherhood, whether that is for the first or subsequent time. Part of this is the Mother Blessing Ceremony (see ceremony tab) and rituals to honour the spiritual dimension of Pregnancy, birth and postpartum

Birth Doula

  • The aspects of birthwork I highly value are relationship and cultivating deep trust, intimacy and safety to be vulnerable.

    Because these qualities are so present in birth I can't imagine entering a birthspace without it. The amount of time we spend together over several sessions in pregnancy and the uncomfortable conversations I invite you into are key to deepening relationship.

    I become your companion as you step into the fire of labour and birth and come out the other side as a mother with your baby in your arms. Never trying to fix, just holding a strong presence of faith and embodied conviction that all is as it should be.

    Not only do I support you, but I support your primary birth partner. It is hard to predict exactly what you’ll need in the depths of labour. I am prepared to be there physically holding both of you with loving touch and encouraging words, or staying in the background making sure drinks and snacks are replenished.

    I will breathe with you, sound with you (if that’s what helps) and remind you to listen to your body and baby’s wisdom. If necessary I can also offer techniques that support a labouring body to open or relax such as therapeutic touch and acupressure points.

    The greatest gift I bring to the birthspace is my deep trust in the birth process and your woman's body. This hasn’t been learned in a book, this trust was embedded in my cells through the births of my children and years of unlearning the negative, fearful birth culture I grew up in.

    Logistics wise, when birthing at home, I will come to you when requested (this will be discussed in prep) and stay until you have your baby, tidy and make sure you are fed and rehydrated.

  • As your doula, it is my role to provide unconditional emotional support, physical presence, guidance and comfort during your birth.

    Through our birth preparation sessions, I have come to know your preferences and needs but also your deepest desires for how you want to bring your baby into the world.

    Continuity of care and relationship we develop across the journey is not only beautiful but so important if I’m to be in your intimate space for birth and post-part. Developing relationship, trust, connection and comfortability is a big focus of mine.

Postpartum Care

  • This is deep, in home care, once woven into the fabric of society and has since been lost, I feel so much purpose in reviving it for the benefit of mothers and the future generation they usher in.

    I will be nurturing you so that you can heal from birth, bond with your baby and smoothly transition into a new family dynamic. I tend to the new mother physically, emotionally and spiritually through my offering of Sacred postpartum care. Holding her in bringing all the pieces of herself blasted into the ethers during birth back together in a new configuration, her new identity. A gentle guide as she finds her way with mothering the way that she knows in her heart and bones. I am apt to be this pillar of support thanks to the relationship we cultivated through the birth prep we did together.

  • The preparation and planning for postpartum is an important part of this care, where essentially we create the nest. I help to design your postpartum, gather your support team, set up the meal train. Ultimately, the framework we create for postpartum sets you up with a village and network that you can remain connected to for the longer term of your motherhood journey. It's so important that the father/other parent I'd involved in this process so they can grasp the why behind the reasons for rest and support.

    We will also look into your relationship to rest, receiving and boundary setting for relatives and friends that may not be appropriate in your most raw and vulnerable time after birth.

  • As an active community member I will support you to start weaving connections with other mothers and start creating or solidifying your village. This is an essential part of thriving motherhood.

  • Once your baby is born, I will nurture you with therapies such as bodywork, sitz baths and yoni steams. These therapies are not luxuries, they are imperative for proper pelvic health recovery. I will cook you special meals that promote healing and breast milk production.

    I can offer gentle guidance based on my own experience for pelvic floor healing, breastfeeding, baby-care, co-sleeping and elimination communication.

    I will help you to unravel your birth experience using a birth story listening process. I also hold safe space for you to express any of the varied emotions that arise in postpartum. They are valid.

  • When this chapter of care comes to an end, I will hold a final ritual to assist with closing the birth energy in a mind /body meditation of wrapping you in rebozos.

    As well as tending to your preferences for placenta options, preparation and/or planting ritual.

    I have so much love for the 1:1 journey and continuity of care across the spectrum of this incredible Rite of Passage.

  • I am not currently offering ceremonies or bodywork outside of the 1:1 birth continuum space.

  • I do not attend planned hospital births. If a transfer is required to the hospital I will continue to attend your labour.

  • Yes I do offer the investment within a payment plan. Its important to me that this package is as accessible as possible and therefore am very flexible with instalments and duration of payment plans. Please do not hesitate to discuss this with me
