My name is Carla Sage. I am a mother, birth mentor & birthkeeper, offering 1:1 in-person support and continuity of care across the spectrum of the incredible Right of Passage that is birth. I currently service the area of Bundjalung Country ~ The Northern Rivers and am blessed and grateful to be living here raising my family.
I was drawn to birthwork after the epic homebirth of my second child. It was a redemptive birth in a way, after my first birth, planned to be at home, was transferred to hospital during labour.
Getting to experience physiological birth blew my mind, and I heard the call loud and clear that I need to help others experience this too.
I live on Bundjalung country close to the lovely town of Nimbin . I am a mama of 2 beautiful children, lover of great food, home herbalism, community, gatherings and weaving the ancient wise ways into modern life for healing and sustainability.

Whole Birth Continuum
Something I’ve been shown through witnessing undisturbed birth is that women know how to birth. They know how to move, how to breathe, how to catch their own baby. Without practicing, without following a method or having someone coaching them. With spaciousness and no time limits, the birthing woman gets into her rhythm and flow (this often includes the partner). She is able to lean into the pain. She finds her way. My birth prep work focuses on the internal work of anchoring presence in the body and stepping into trusting yourself, your body and your baby.
Sacred Postpartum Care
Sacred Postpartum Care is included in my 1:1 Whole Birth Continuum package. Caring for her, physically, emotionally and spiritually through my offering of Sacred Postpartum Care. Holding her in bringing all the pieces of herself blasted into the ethers during birth back together in a new configuration, her new identity. A gentle guide as she finds her way with mothering the way she knows in her heart and bones. I am apt to be this pillar of support thanks to the relationship we cultivate through the birth preparation we do together.
